Our products come from a wide variety of countries - from sun-ripened tomatoes from Italy to sultanas from Turkey to cashew nuts from Vietnam. Whether it's small or large annual quantities, we place great importance on our responsible purchasing team member carefully managing each product. This is how we ensure that we always have top quality goods in stock at a fair price and in suitable quantities. However, there are always challenges to overcome along the way: Starting with the procurement of numerous documents, to rejected samples and analyses, to delivery difficulties and minimum shelf life dates to be negotiated. That's where the one or other grey hair might grow. But we are proud not only to be professionals in purchasing, we also solve problems! And the feeling is even greater when our goods arrive successfully, which is something we like to celebrate together.

Our countless products and tasks are incredibly exciting and versatile. But the best thing about working in purchasing at Bode is that this versatility is also reflected in our team: We all have different experiences and interests, yet we work hand in hand. However, there is always time for a quick chat or a hearty laugh.

Exciting everyday life in quality assurance:

Welcome to the exciting world of quality assurance! There is always something going on at our company, with new challenges every day. In the last five years, our number of employees has doubled: today we are a dedicated team of almost 15 people - including working students and interns. Our tasks are varied and range from checking incoming goods to quality-assuring monitoring of the production process of our mueslis, nut mixtures and more. We regularly perform hygiene inspections to ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards. We look after our suppliers and customers closely, assist our colleagues with questions and problems and always look for solutions to ensure the best possible quality.
As an organic importer, we have to pass an organic inspection three times a year, as well as audits for our IFS Food and IFS Broker food safety standards and Fairtrade and Demeter certification. Despite all these challenges, we never lose focus on our daily harmonious cooperation, which ensures a dynamic and successful everyday working life at Bode.
What else?
We are proud to be a youthful and ambitious team that also meets up for a drink at the Christmas market or a good pizza outside of office hours. We live the team spirit and support each other, whether with good advice or a helping hand.

Insight: Marketing and Product Development introduces itself

Since 2016, we have been proudly presenting our organic products to the world and are committed to sustainability. Originally a one-woman show, we are now a successful 4-person team that stands firmly by its values including organic farming and sustainability. We design our homepage and shop, manage our social media channels, organise trade fairs and write newsletters. Our content is created entirely by ourselves. Our team unites concentrated creativity, everyone has special strengths and we align these with the company's goals. We have a lot of fun shooting photos, creating graphics and evaluating our marketing campaigns. In product development, we discover new trends and continuously improve our products. This is also how a better crunchy without industrial sugar, without palm oil, vegan and plastic-free packaging was born! Bode Naturkost can do it! Our business partners can count on an innovative and sustainable way of working and a professional collaboration with our team. We are proud to share our products and values and shape a better future together.
What else?
We do not just share our talents, but also our passion for nature. With family and friends, we enjoy sporting activities or being artistically creative at home. When cooking, we like to experiment with new ingredients and surprise ourselves and others.

IT reports:

We have many different interfaces and developments, which means that you not only have to have a fast network but also powerful servers. In our section, you notice not only how fast-moving our times are, but also how we are developing within the industry. Our projects add up and we have to stay on top of the latest developments to be able to consistently offer the best performance. We equip every workstation from network connection to peripherals and make sure that our network grows with us: For this, everyone needs the appropriate hardware and software! The operational infrastructure and our data traffic is maintained by our care. In order to have the right nerve food for our high-speed performance, we are properly fed by our colleagues from the other departments. The nice thing about being here is that there's lots of nutritious stuff - our nut mixtures (and homemade biscuits too) keep us going!

Our team is committed to the protection of insect diversity!

On 27 April 2023, after business hours, we swung the spade and nurtured our garden in the Bode Bee Bed. With our hard-working team members' green thumbs, we initiated the perfect start to spring for the entire team. We want to ensure that not only bees and insects feel comfortable in our garden and at home with us in the blossom of spring, but also that our guests and staff can enjoy the colourful diversity. Therefore, we kindly invite everyone to stop by our green paradise and enjoy the beauty of our natural oasis!

City biking: Saving CO² together

In the city cycling event from 1 to 21 September 2022, we pedalled properly and managed a total of 3,335 km with our city cycling team! That is 50% more than in the previous year! Many thanks to all the colleagues who took part and made a contribution to climate protection. By using the bike instead of the car, we saved about 514 kg of CO2. The three athletes with the most kilometres cycled each received a small thank-you gift.

Celebrating together: Summer Festival 2022

In July, our team got together to celebrate summer, life and, of course, with one another! Our festival committee lovingly organised a great programme with a bouncy castle and ball pool, table football event, wheel of fortune and superbly delicious summer barbecue buffet. A real summer magic in the sunshine! Not only the Bode family was there, but also the families and partners of our committed colleagues - it was colourful and cheerful on our premises! We took the opportunity to get to know each other better, to welcome new Bode family members and to reward ourselves for a very productive time.
