The early harvested spelt, without the developed starch, has a juicy-soft kernel and is dried through a process called drying (smoking). It delivers a crunchy-nutty-smoky taste experience, which is excellent for savoury dishes. Ideal for soups, stews, salads, pan dishes, patties or sautéed in butter as a side dish. Green spelt serves as a protein source and has a high fibre content.
Preparation
Preparation: Cook in 3 times the amount of water for approx. 50 min. and let stand for 10-15 min.
