Preparation
Soak beans overnight and then rinse. Cook 1 cup of beans with about 3 cups of water for approximately 1 hour on low heat. Season with salt afterwards. Pinto beans have a mealy character, making them perfect for corn and rice dishes, hearty soups, stews, and salads.
