Mature, dried dark red kidney beans. These red, kidney-shaped beans have a sweet, chestnut-like flavour and are rich in fibre and proteins.
Preparation
Soak kidney beans overnight and rinse them afterwards. Cook 1 cup of beans with approximately 3 cups of water for about 1.5 - 2 hours on low heat. Season with salt afterwards. Perfect for stews, chilli con carne, soups and salads.
