This round grain rice is ideal for risotto and various sticky rice dishes due to its excellent water absorption and low starch release. It pairs beautifully with asparagus, mushrooms, or spinach, and is delightful with fish and seafood.
Preparation
Sauté 125 g of rice in 1 EL of oil over low heat in a pot. Gradually add 1/2 liter of vegetable broth in small portions, allowing the rice to fully absorb the broth before adding more. Continue until all the broth is used up. Gourmet tip: Sauté 2 EL of minced onions with the rice and replace 100 ml of broth with white wine. Refine with butter and Parmesan. Risotto rice is a sticky round grain rice, perfect with asparagus, mushrooms, or spinach, and topped with fish and seafood.
