Every cup of Assam tea offers a full-bodied, robust flavour that transports you to the rich, fertile soil of Assam's tea gardens. Distinctive to this tea is its unique malt aroma, which with its intensity and depth, caresses your taste buds. Accompanying this is a sweet note reminiscent of honey. This sweetness gives the robust tea a pleasant complexity and balance, making your teatime an exceptional taste experience. Traditionally, this tea is enjoyed with Kluntjes (white rock sugar) and Wulkje (a cream cloud). First, place the rock sugar in a cup and savour the crackling sound as you pour freshly brewed tea over it. Then, add the cream to the tea. True East Frisians enjoy their tea 'unstirred'. As a vegan alternative, we recommend Natumi Oat Cuisine.
Preparation
Add one heaped teaspoon per cup with boiling water and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes.
