Whole cardamom pods are finely ground for this highly aromatic powder. The brown-grey powder has a spicy, aromatic flavour reminiscent of eucalyptus. Cardamom is often used for biscuits, waffles and desserts during the Christmas season. It also goes well with savoury curry dishes or breads. The Swedes love it all year round and use the aromatic spice in many sweet baked goods. The best known are probably the famous cinnamon buns.
