How does the bergamot differ from other citrus fruits like orange, lemon or grapefruit? The bergamot is smaller and pear-shaped. Its light green to yellow peel is thinner and smoother than that of most other citrus fruits. It is usually not eaten, but grown for the production of its intense essential oil.
Preparation
Add one heaped teaspoon per cup with boiling water and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes.
