Finely ground, caraway seeds yield a fine, dark brown powder with an intense aroma. It tastes sweetish, slightly bitter and sharp, and should not be missing in fish, cabbage, potato and vegetable dishes, as well as in many soups and stews. Did you know that caraway like fennel and anise belongs to the family of Apiaceae? Together they make a soothing tea blend for a good gut feeling.

For this organic fenugreek powder, the seeds, ranging in colour from light to medium brown, are finely ground. This allows its long-lasting, bittersweet and spicy flavour to unfold. It has a flavour that is slightly reminiscent of lovage and is perfect for seasoning Indian curries, North African dishes, bread, vegetable stews and pulses such as dal, as well as fish and meat dishes. It is an essential ingredient in many curry spice blends.

White, aromatic organic pepper is produced by harvesting red, fully ripe pepper fruits. The flesh is then separated from the small seeds by soaking the fruits for around a week. Once dried, the small, light-coloured, usually smooth peppercorns are obtained, which enrich our cuisine in a variety of ways. Traditionally used in light-coloured sauces, soups and potato dishes, it also complements other dishes, adding a touch of spiciness and aroma. Depending on its origin, pepper can vary in pungency. Pepper is at its best when freshly ground.

The dried and rubbed marjoram is grey-green to green-brown and has a sweetly woody aroma that is also reflected in its taste. The leaf parts have been treated with steam to reduce germination. Marjoram is very spicy and is therefore often used to refine potato dishes, soups, sauces or legumes of all kinds.
